Good to know. I thought I'd ask because if you were doing like 10 every day, maybe I was being a grateful slacker ;)
I started doing more than 5 every day but then I realized I wasn't doing it as often so that wasn't helpful anyway. I agree with you, do what you can, be happy you did it! :)

Yeah, I usually aim for 5 a day, but sometimes I do more & the odd time I do less. I can usually reach 5 if I take a little time to think about it and 5 fit perfectly on a page in my notebook! ;)

Hey Kelly! Actually that wasn't the book but I looked it up and it looks like one worth reading.
I know it's been vital for me, yes. It's easy to get stuck in the frustrations of the illness and forget about the good parts of every day. Thanks for coming and posting a comment, I know you've been really busy lately!

It's funny what a difference it makes. Somehow just knowing I had to write it down at the end of the day, it forced me to look for new things I wouldn't normally notice.
I don't think I've ever heard a mockingbird (well except for in the movie The Hunger Games lol). I did see a woodpecker the other day on a palm tree. I didn't know that was possible!

So, Dave Asprey claims he can "prove they have no detectable mycotoxins".

You had them tested and OTA WAS detectable, and, what's more, the levels of contamination were middle-of-the-road, compared to several generic coffees. Why isn't anyone making a bigger deal out of this fact?

This reminds me of a great book I recently read called 1000 Gifts. It may be the same book you read, or just a similar theme. But this process is vital to having an attitude of gratitude, even while fighting our daily battles.

Important topic! In my experience, disability payments can give patients the time and resources to learn how to live with their illness and reach their full health and happiness potential. Speaking for myself, having not to worry about financial matters during the first six years of my illness has allowed me to recover enough to work again and no longer need help from others.

I recently discovered that gratitude is the secret to a happy life regardless of the circumstances. I try to do it all day. Right now I hear a mockingbird doing a variety of bird calls. I stop to notice and then give thanks.

Very well written. I was told when I was around 12 that I had autoimmune syndrome. The doctor didn't call it multiple but the idea is the same. I'm now 57 and the list is now in the order i was diagnosed- RA, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, psoriasis, pre diabetes, adult onset autoimmune diabetes, a brain tumor, brain lesions and now MS. Taking drugs for each of those is just dumb and yet that's what happens. The only thing that helped everything was two years on the antiviral Famvir. I'm thinking it's viral. Good article
